Two new D&V Comics up in the past four days! Plus, also, a new picture!

So I was at work the other day, listenint to some woman deone on about Mad Cow Disease, and my mind began to wander (as it is wont to do). As is so often the case, I had a vision.

I saw a rock formation which looked like a tiny volcano. Perhaps two storeys tall. It was bare rock, with a shallow crater at the top. Floating perhaps ten feet above the crater was a gigantic human eyeball. As I watched, a series of wooden ladders were set up all around the volcano, many of them lying directly againsty the eyeball itself. The eye then shook itself about in the fasion of a dog shaking itself dry, tossing the ladders all akimbo.

There was much mourning.

What can I say? My mind does this.

Oh, and as a bonus, I've uploaded a shitload of new designs into the Sketches section.

Extra stupid bonus: Something which came up on the Penny Arcade Forums a little while ago was the idea (I don't know why this appealed to me, now that I think about it) of drawing yourself as Hellboy. So here's that.

New D&V Comic up! Technically on a day when one is due, so that's pretty good, right?

March 28th, 2004 CE

New D&V Comic up! Just hours before the next one is due! Will the next one be on time? Maybe! Who knows? Fuck! Stop asking me so many questions! I hae you! I hate you all!!!

March 25th, 2004 CE

Yo, all.

Okay, towards the end of the Feast of Fury, there were some problems; the site went down for a few days, so there could be no updates then. Then as exhaustion set in, my cognitive fucnctions began to really suffer, and it seemed to me that if I could keep on updating things, what did it matter if I alerted anyone to the fact that I was doing so? So things kept on appearing here without my telling anyone. I know. Foolish. Then my computer crashed hard, and had to be rebuilt from the ground up. Several hundred dollars later, everything is bad is good again.

So, what does the expeirience which was the Feast of Fury teach me? Basically, I function well on 4 hours of sleep a day. This is a good amount. If I get more, then my mind is TOO active, and I am plagued with stray thoughts which only hurt my focus. If I get less, then things get unpredictable. Lesson learned.

Now! What's new? New body paint set up there (though it technically went up last week), and a new D&V strip today. Got another one on the way tomorrow, I hope. See you then.

Feast of Fury! Day 8!

New Dave & Vyacheslav wallpaper up, with our good friend Comrade General Colin Macdonald! I can honestly say that this is the best wallpaper I've ever made. Love it.

The body painting set scheduled for today is delayed for a while. Don't know when for. Angry.

And still angry. It's been more than a week, and I'm still fighting back the urge to put my fist through the wall a couple of times a day. I feel like my back is a criss-cross of stab wound scars, and I can't stop picking at the scabs, because they just keep itching at me!

Ever watch the first episode of Red Dwarf? How about Futurama? 'Cause I've been watching them a lot lately. A whole lot. The idea of being frozen until long after everyone you know has long since died is starting to appeal to me. Then I'd be beyond their ability to betray.

March 10th, 2004 CE

Feast of Fury! Day 7!

New Dave & Vyacheslav strip up! You got to love it!

Fuck! Need to sleep now! Too much work! Too much! Agh! Fuckadoodledoo!

March 9th, 2004

Feast of Fury: Day 6!

Got the first part of a long, long-awaited work of fiction up today. The presentation isn't what I would like, and I'll fix that tomorrow. I just spent too many hours today preparing for tomorrow's Dave & Vyacheslav Comic, and preparing for a body painting set which ended up not happening today (but which will happen on thursday. Expect it up on thursday or friday).

In the meantime, a preview of the title graphic...

March 8th, 2004 CE

Feast of Fury Day 5!

Not a lot of new content today, I'm afraid. Lots of work done today, but much of it won't see fruition for a little while, though. One big thing people have been waiting for for the better part of a year, though, will be going up tomorrow. Or at least the first part of it. My friends will know what I'm talking about when I mention "the story".

March 7th, 2004 CE

Feast of Fury Day 4!

I slipped yesterday; passed out for about 3 hours. So there's three hours of sleep in the past 4 days. All things considered, I'd say I'm doing good. I just need to adapt to a permanent state of sleep deprivation. See, it works. All I need to do is keep my cognitive functions so supressed by lack of energy that I'll be incapable of dwelling upon the things which threaten to drive me insane. See? I got it all worked out. I'm cool. I'm good.

So in addition to three updates for today (and it's only 7:39 AM, so there may yet be more today), I've also spent countless hours debugging and quality checking the site, polishing it up like a nice shiney diamond. Some things I should have dealt with months ago but could never find the time to do have now been dealt with. Three cheers for the power of steam!

Why, it could even be argued that, in that I've crippled my ability to think and feel normally, I'm a bit less angry now than I was three days ago.

These arguments, however, would be erroneous.

March 6th, 2004 CE

Feast of Fury Day 3!

I haven't slept in three days, and I'm still going strong. I don't think I need to anymore! Serendipitous, really, insofar as that I can't!

Got new material in the offing, and more on the way. Keep your eyes open and your assholes poopin'. Why the assholes thing? Well, what? Like you want to stop poopin'? Wouldn't that kill you? Really painfully? Fuck, dudes. Fuck.

Oh, and your eyes should be open so that you can see the stuff I'm uploading.

Obviously, right? That is obvious o people other than me, right? I don't really remember how other people think at this point.

March 4th, 2004 CE

Well, what can I say? Life is either so good that I can't create a damned thing, or else it's so fucking awful that I can hardly do anything but. We're in the latter mode now. Can't sleep, can't think straight, can't do anything but lose myself in my art, or I think I'm likely to up and kill someone. Maybe myself, for example.

So, I'm being productive. Thus, I draw your attention to a little two-week project which I call ...

What is it? Two weeks of daily updates. Why is it? None of your fucking business. Die. Or just keep checking back every day between now and the eighteenth of March for a bevvy of new material. Sleep is for the weak and the content, and I am neither. I'm gonna work my ass of and suffer for my art because it's all I've got left.

January 28th, 2004 CE

Got a new body painting set up.I seem to be pretty prolific in that field lately. You can expect to see a new Dave & Vyacheslav strip up a little bit later today. I hope. I plan to, you know. Here's hoping nothing goes wrong with this noble plan of mine.

I haven'tbeen updating the main page so much lately, but there's lots of little changes going on. The more eagle-eyed among you might be able to spot them. Stuff is happening.

Unrelated tangent: Go read Michael Moor's new book, "Dude, Where's My Country?", and Richard Dawkin's new book, "A Devils's Chaplain". Both very cool. I bought both - in hardcover, no less - and read both in a matter of days a month or so ago. I hold both authors in very high esteem. So should you.

January 5th, 2004 CE

Got a new body painting set up.It's a design which has been a long, long time coming. Thanks to my lovely new girlfriend, Valentina, though, and her outstanding modelling work, the set is up for you to enjoy. Enjoy!

I got a few things in the offing for the wednesday update. You can expect a new Dave & Vyacheslav strip up, for sure, though it will likely be up in the early afternoon, rather than midnight or whenever. Nothing to be done for it.There's a good deal of activity there, by the way. Couple of hundred hits a day. Makes me wish I'd bought advertising space earlier. I just hope a few of these readers stick around for a bit. 'Cause the third storyline I have planned out is gonna be great.

I think I'll also have a little essay up in the essays section wednesday, too. Just a little one. But it's nice.

December 31st, 2003 CE

Couple of new D & V strips up there, so I figured you might like that.

Gotta get going for work, so no time for a detailed update right now. Maybe tomorrow. But I'm gonna be pretty busy, so maybe not. Got a model coming over. Gonna do a new body painting set. Should be cool.

December 22nd, 2003 CE

Got a new body painting set up there for you. That's got to make you happy, right?

In other news, I must say, I'm very disappointed in the hypocrisy you're all displaying these days. I mean, all these years, I've heard that people today are supposed to be fickle and cynical, with short attention spans and be easily distracted. And yet this christmas shit persists year after fucking year. When are you people going to get tired of it? When? I mean, I guess Kwanza is somewhat mollifying; obviously there's some people who've gotten sick of this baby Jesus nonsense. But the rest of you! I mean, you can't even choose an annoying style of pop music and stick with it! And slang! Fuck! I mean, slang is supposed to define a culture! But "Shiznit"? Where did that come from? What does it mean? You people! If you get tired of every other fucking thing so quickly, why not this? Show a little consistency!

In related news, I invented a new word today: "Basphantastic"! In fact, it's such a word, I'm adding it to my spell checker's dictionary right now.

December 10th, 2003 CE

New D & V strip up for y'all. New extra over there too. Enjoy.

Also, new Dream journal. I'm sure that'll get the hit counter rolling in no time. Right.

Now, I was thinking, last night: Maybe all the anti-video-game-violence advocates have a point. Think about Pac Man for a minute. What does this game teach kids? That it's okay to kill and eat your enemies? That it's okay to be a giant yellow sphere whos mouth comprises fully 25% of your body surface? I don't know. I'm not big on the idea of living in a world where people have taken lessons like these to heart. I'd like to see some figures on the rise of canabalism since that game was revealed. I suspect they'd be informative.

December 4th, 2003 CE

Okay, sorry about the delay. Life sucks for both me and you, and sometimes, it points this out pretty agressively.

But hey, sometimes the pendulum swings the other way: I got me some positive media attention yesterday, and it's already reaping dividends. And what attention is that? Check it out in Part 2 of The Hunt for Repent Sinner!

Screaming, Crapping Sunday Update!

Okay, brand spanking new Dave & Vyacheslav strip up today, as well as a new seemingly pro-communist wallpaper in the D&V Extras section! Woo-haw! Workers and peasants of the web rise up!

Anyways, time to link.

Go here. It's another video game music remix site. I found it this morning. It made me happy.

Go here. It's Democracy Now. Anti-Establishment webradio station. I found it a week or two ago. Made me happy too.

Go here. Counterpunch is like Democracy now, but in text, and more in-depth. It makes me angy, sometimes, but I should be. The world sucks. Full of terrible, terrible people.

Now, time to muse.

Is there any finer form of incest, or lesbianism, than that which takes place between two identical twin sisters? I honestly don't think there is. In either regard. I challenge you to prove me wrong, world.

November 7th, 2003

Blargh! New D & V Sterip up! More update soon!

October 30th, 2003 CE
Blagh. Slightly late update. I have been busy. Mostly getting the files necessary to get the comic up and running again in working order. But not exclusively. There will definitely be a new comic tomorrow. Maybe two, if I can really get it together. Also, some real updates for the Hunt for Repent Sinner.

Got some new art for y'all. It is, as they say, the shiznit. Couple of new Dream Journal entries. The first sort of nightmare-y and the second one merely inexplicable. I moved that freaky-fresh song. from last week into the miscellany section, where it might live forever in the peace and tranquility it so richly deserves.

Oh, yeah. I know I haven't really been doing the Link of the Day thing since Year 2 started, but I'll throw this one out there anyways: If you were a fan of the old G.I. Joe cartoon from the mid 80's, and/or are a fan of inexplicable and/or inpenetrable humour, I reccomend you check this out. It made me laugh quite a bit.

Wiggy-wiggy Something Or Other Friday Update!

New Dave & Vyacheslav strip at last!

The Hunt for Repent Sinner update will have to wait until tomorrow. I need to go to work.

But before I go, let me say this: I love British Columbia. Really, I do. I moved here from Ontario for many compelling reasons which remain as valid now as they were when they first motivated me. But. There were no fireworks in Ontario except on and around July 1st. Here, every holiday makes the skyline look like the city is fighting some small, retarded, badly-organized and ineptly-executed war with itself, and for weeks before and afterwards, it's near-impossible to sleep more than a couple of hours without being woken up by some explosive or another. I loathe all holidays in principle, but in BC, there's plenty of reason to also loathe them all in practice. Way to go, BC! You have validated my hatred!

October 22nd, 2003 CE

Sorry about the lack of updates last week. It's been a bit of a family emergency.

They say that in times of crisis, our true colours show through. In my sister Reagan's case, ths is quite evidently true. Our father has been suffering heart troubles for some time. He's in his sixties, and has spent many years neglecting his health. The past few months, my sister has been staing with him, ostensibly to help him out around the house. In actuality, she's been wracking up quadruple-digit phone bills and doing the dead minimum she could get away with while there. Even so, my attitudes towards my much-loathed sibling HAD been softening. Had.

See, early last week, my dad's health took a turn for the worse, and he had to go in for triple-bypass heart seurgery. The day he was hospitolized, word reached him that my sister had left a note saying that she was returning to Ontario, using a ticket bought with our father's cash. Also worth noting is that she had stolen about half of his stuff on her way out. The bitch had betrayed and abandoned him in his hour of need. Any sympathy I'd developed for her up to that point evaporated at the moment I heard this. How I loathe that bitch.

Meanwhile, I've been visiting my father nearly every day. My aunts, Loretta and Mary-Willa travelled from Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia, respectively, to see him, and my brother and his family are coming up from Tucson, Arizona to see him. Even my maternal grandmother, who has often enough been a thorn in his side, has wished him well and a speedy recovery. While his daughter, whom he had been supporting and indulging, has vanished with his property. I'll have no more to do with her. So. This is why it's been a while since my last update. Little time to sit in front of my computer. But some! I do have a few updates for you.

Some new art for you folks. Comission guidelines, since that's come up a lot lately. Some new material in my Family Tree section (like you care). And a new Dream Journal entry. Not for the faint of heart.

Bogus Saturday Update...!

Okay. Some technical difficulties. Windows blew up a lot of my picture files, and ... well, the comic might be on hiatus for a while longer... but in the meantime, I offer you this:

The realization that I could save a lot of money by just foregoing pants entirely by wearing two t-shirts at once

and an answer to my friend Chris's assertion that I'd make a fine death metal singer. Let me sing you to sleep with my gentle words of love.

October 10th, 2003 CE

Okay, I'm feeling quite a bit better today. Got some new content for y'all.

First, New D&V Strip, as usual for a friday.

Second, new wallpaper in the miscellany section.

Third, new dream journal.

Fourth, got a whole crapload of new sketches in the Sketches section. Oh, I got some good stuff here. Good stuff.

And fifth, for those of you who haven't bookmarked my page yet, I suggest you do so, then check out the snazzy little icon what appears in your favourites menu. I've wondered for months how to do this!

So anyways. I've been keeping an eye on which sections of the page are being visited for thew past couple of weeks, and something has become clear to me: There's damned few sections of the page which don't get visited regularly (though it looks like I might just as well take that crummy old RPGs section down).

What I'd like to hear from you folks is what you'd like to see more of. My ears are open, folks. Make yourselves heard.

October 1st, 2003 CE

Anyways, October is here. September was the best month around here ever, yielding 970 hits in that one month (that hit counter down there is a little weak; it only counts those visitors who come through the index page. I shall need to find a better method to track traffic). Let's make October the first month in which we see 1,000. Got a couple more features coming up in the next little while. Teasers? You bet.

In the chill of the night, at the scene of the crime, like a streak of light, he arrives just in time!

Anyways. New D&V Strip up, because you know I love you.

Friday Update!

First off, New D&V strip up.

Secondly, as has been requested of me, link button + banner (see below).

Third, new dream journal!

Fourth, some additional material to some old body paint sections.

September 17th, 2003 CE

New Dave & Vyacheslav Strip up and running. First part of a new storyline, which's proving to be a bit more ambitious than I initially imagined; the main reason why today's update is a bit late. No worries; there'll be a new strip up tomorrow on time and a bit of bonus material. Plus a new feature I've been working on for weeks. Yeah.

Electronic Death-Dealing Mutagenic Friday Update!

Got a new D&V Strip up. Check it out. Now I'm gonna get back to work on a new section which I hope to have up tonight.

September 17th, 2003 CE

Seems to me that the people at the BCAA are severely retarded.

No, seriously. Check this out. This is one of those things about people I swear I will never be able to grasp.

Few months back, I'm having a coversation with one of the workers at the BCAA, where I work. She asks me how my night was, and I tell her it was great; I'd had a productive night. She asks me what I produced. I tell her some artwork. She asks me what type. I tell her if she wants, I can show her. She agrees. I show her some of the body-painting designs in my sketchbook.

She complains to my superiors. They call me in to their ofice in Surrey to chew me out in an emasculating and irritating ordeal.

Fucksakes. People who get upset when I answer their questions madden me. I cannot grasp this personality trait. I cannot. It makes no bloody sense. It's like asking me to open a door for them and then becoming enraged when I do so. I will never be able to grasp this trait. And you know what?

I hope I don't. In order to grasp it, I think I would have to be brain-damaged in the same way as they are. I prefer honesty. I prefer acceptance. I prefer maturity. So fuck 'em, I say. If they're so broken inside and emotionally cripled that they can't deal with having their questions answered, then they ought to just learn not to ask them. I refuse to sink to their level.

Anyways, new Dave & Vyacheslav strip up today. Tomorrow, I plan to put up a new section I'd hoped to put up today, but which I've run out of time to do tonight, I think. Anyways, it'll be up within a few hours.

Bloated, Water-Logged, Oozing, Decomposed Friday Update!

New D&V Strip up. You vultures had better enjoy it.

September 10th, 2003 CE

Got a new D & V strip up. Series is coming along pretty good, no? You'll find four new bits of art in today's strip; quite a bit of work there.

I've updated the wallpaper in the Miscellany section, and I think the update is possessed of the trait of "snaz". It's currently on my desktop, where it looks snazzy.

I've got three features which ought to be updated or added by now, but people... well, they're not reliable creatures. If I can get people to come up with their parts of varrious projects, I might have as many as three new features next week. Don't count on it, though. I'm not.

Towering Cybertronian Trans-Metallic Friday Update!

Got a new D&V strip up. Das is gut.

Oh, and I can now promise at least one new feature by the next wednesday update. I'm actually pretty excited about this one. It has social signifigance, of sorts.

September 3rd, 2003 CE

Got a new D & V strip up. More new content coming in the next 24 hours. Gotta get going now.

Exalted Gaseous Robo-Mechanical Thursday Update!

After too long a wait, got some new material in the Dave's Bible Study section. I know this'll make a lot of you infdels out there happy. Gobble up. Coming tomorrow: Another Dave & Vyacheslav comic!

Super-Sonic Rocket-Powered Interplanetary Friday Update!

Yeah, new Dave & Vyacheslav strip up there. Rejoice!

August 29th, 2003 CE

Granted, I'm two days late this week, but in fairness, I also put up a new update two days early, so in a sense, it sort of balances out. If I can deal with it, so can you.

Got a new D & V strip up. I'm getting better at this, I think. More to come soon.

Also, Milk Day was celebrated here in Vancouver on Saturday. Four times I've attempted it, and three times I've failed. All hail Milky-Sama! I've got a couple of photos up here, here and here (from the aftermath. Ryan is giving me a little regurgitatory aid in that last one. Also, in that last one, check out the blast radius of the spray on the ground. Gotta be a good 6 feet there. I am like a White Dragon!), and I hope to have more up soon.

August 21st, 2003 CE

So I guess I must be smoking a lot of crack or something, because my latest feature is a little something I call...

Trust me, I'm at least as aghast as any of you that this is the first fruits of all of the thought I've given to doing a webcomic over the years. Will this be a regular feature? Probably. For a while. I dunno. I might get distracted by a shiny thing and stop for a while. But you have my word that if I do, I'll get all guilty about it and do some more for a while.

In other words, expect this to have a finite life-span.

Also, I've finally replaced the broken hit counter, and it seems to be working pretty well. Three jolly cheers for the fine, fine mammals at www.freelogs.com!

Bonus Hyperbolic Astral Monday Update!

Got a new D & V strip up. I think I'm going to try to put out two strips a week, on tow of the following days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. See how that works out.

August 13th, 2003 CE

Okay, got a big update to make up for those last couple of weeks of relative inactivity.

Got a new body paint section, of sorts. Decided to paint up my own face. I kinda like theway it turned out. Spooky!

I have a little section pertaning to a project I have in the offing.

Started training for Milk Day. With mixed results. Frustration mixed with failure, that is!

Also, I signed up for Friendster, which I'm enjoying. Lots of ability to muck about and be silly. Go check it out and sech for meusing my e-mail address (which can be found on the e-mail link down on the left there). I grog it.

Anyways. Enough work for now. Time to masturbate!

August 6th, 2003 CE

No update again this week, I'm afraid. I've had no access to a scanner for the past feweeks, which has severely limed my possible artistic output. And I'e had two models flake on me in the past couple of weeks. Very disappointing.

Still, I've been keeping busy. Since the official Church of Stuff page is suffering some fairly severe technical problems, I spent about ten hours out of the past two days rebuilding it pretty much frscratch. You can find the fruits of my labour here. The primary impetus for this act was, of course, the upcoming event which men of all genders call...

Be there or be absurd.

Oh, and I came up with this kickin' 404 page.

July 23rd, 2003 CE

As you've probably already heard, Adolf Hitler and his armies have risen from their graves yet again, and are once more taking a stab at crushing Europe under their jackbooted heels. As usual, the technological advances of the decades following the end of WW2 are giving the forces of the living the advantage they need to overcome the brain-eating ferocity of the undead.

And while I hardly want to make light of the seriusness of the situation, nor of the suffering of those involved in this latest conflict, nor yet of the heroism of the soldiers of Living Europe, I've got to admit, there's part of me that's always giddy whenever the nazis crawl out of their graves to seek world domination again. Perhaps I'm jaded. Perhaps it's just that I'm fortunate enough to live in North America, where there's no Nazis buried TO rise from the dead. But every time it happens, I just know it's going to mean another crop of great Zombie War movies a few years down the road, and I can hardly wait. Maybe this time we’ll see a third “Stench of Death” film. I love that series.

This having been said, I wish the brave (living) fighters of Europe nothing but the best of luck, and a swift victory. Give those (undead) jerries hell.

Anyways, new Body painting section up, with a new format which I like, and I've started rebuilding the 'Projects' Section as a "Miscellany" section, where I'm storing stuff like this nifty wallpaper I made.

Oh, and the hit counter doesn't seem to be working right. I think I'm gonna replace it.

July 16th, 2003 CE

Yeah, it's a liittle late in the day, but my computer clock still tells me it's wednesday.

Got a new picture up in the pictures section, a bunch of new quotes, and something new up there in the upper-left corner. Also, fixed some more broken links. Thank me.

July 9th, 2003 CE

Happy Ninth of July, everybody! I trust you all had your water balloons filled to bursting last night. I know I did. As they used to say in the old country, may your semen never go to waste!

Annual celebrations aside, I think I might be a little under the weather. Or maybe depressed. Or perhaps this is starting to feel like work. Or maybe it's just that I had no access to a scanner lately. Whatever the case, this week's a bit of a break in my recent routine, as the only art I have to add to the site this week is a bit of witty political commentary I thought up whist taking a bath at 4:30 AM. So daring, so controversial is it, it will surely set the world on fire.

In the meantime, I'm gradually moving things over to a new server, which will cut down on bandwidth problems. With any luck, you won't even notice the change-over except that you'll see a lot less error pages.

Maybe I'll have something up tomorrow. We'll see.

Bonus Super Aquatic Spectral Thursday Update!

I've now moved most everything to a new server. There may still be a few bugs to work out, but it looks like most everything is working. Some bookmarks may need to be updated.

Supercalifragilisticexpiala-Friday Update!

Spent many hours cleaning up all the little bugs that've cropped up during the move, as well as anything else which I noticed along the way. Also, added a splash page, because I'd been wanting to for some time, and updated the Plaguebait picture, as I'd been planning to for weeks. Finally, aded some neat thumbnails to the Pictures section.

July 2nd, 2003

Greetings, seekers of truth. It gladdens my weary heart to see so many of you have come to prostrate yourselves at my transcendant feet to absorb, as though through osmosis, the Good Word which I and I alone have to offer. Quiet, now, and listen.

The Good Word is this: You are very stupid. Never let yourself forget this. For I surely shall not.

Got some new pictures for you holy morons this week: Glut, Tak, The Septic Butcher, and Plaguebait. Gettin' good at this smeg.

The story behind all these characters is starting to come together pretty good, and I think I might know what to do with it. Know joy. Idiots.

Special crazy bonus thursday update!

Check out this shiznit

June 25th, 2003

Hail, fellow mammals!

It's wednesday, and you know what that means: Just one more day 'till thursday! Fuck, yeah!

Additionally, it's time for the weekly update. This week, I've got three new pictures, each of which I'm quite fond of. The first, Rapture, represents one of my greatest artistic feats ever, as far as I'm concerned. Big things do I have planned for these characters. Context is developing. Story is brewing. A name is resonating. See how this rubs you: The Shrine of Undying Flesh.

Wait and see. You'll like it.

Check it out, biznatches. Week 2 of my weekly update schedule. I truly am the Secret Ghost.

This week, I've got three new pictures from the same series as last week's Bruiser. There's another two (at least) on their way next week, and there's a very real chance for a new body painting set next week as well.

I've also added a couple of new factoids to my 'About Me' section, and revised the one about my weight to reflect progress made during my current diet. Like you care.

Thirdly, I've updated the family tree page to include my newborn nephew, Wesley, who my brother promises I'll have a picture of soon.

So, lessie, what else is new? Joined a site called OneModelPlace, which is cool; it's a community for models, artists, photographers, and such, to show off our stuff and meet others in - I guess - the beauty industry. A field I seem to be stumbling fairly blindly into.

Also, a group I've become involved with; Artists Against War, is holding thier annual Nude Bike Ride the fri\day after next, which I've been asked to do body painting for. Which should be fun. If you want more data, e-mail the guy who's running the whole deal.

Alrighty-o. Big, big update today.

Never let it be said that I'm immune to criticism (except when I'm wearing my fedora. Or I'm really sleep-deprived. Or when I'm talking to christian zealots on the street. Those are special times). Having heard one complaint with regards to my body painting more than any other (well, one valid complaint; the complaint that it's sinful and improper doesn't count, as it comes from a land of make-believe which I will have no part in), I decided with my latest set to go in a new direction. That complaint? That the backgrounds were boring.

Screw public indecency laws.

In other news, got a whole whack of new sketches in my sketches section, and, far more impressively, four pieces of finished art in my Pictures section, proving that I am still quite capable of doing non-body-art-and-non-webpage-design-related art. The first three are character designs for a webcomic I'm working on in fits and starts. The fourth is an unrelated, un-named character who I'm simply calling The Bruiser. I'm really fond of this one. Give 'im a look-see.

I've also trimmed the fat in my Body Painting section, taking out some of the sets I was less proud of, and added dates to each one, as there was some confusion as to when each took place.

Thanks to my friend Rene, the Ultra-Violet set has been tidied up a bit. My monitor is old and weak, and sometimes fails to show me flaws in my work which are obvious to anyone else.

I've also updated my "about me" section, modernizing it for the year Y2K3.

Lastly, I've decided to try really hard to get onto a weekly updateschedule. Come backhere next wednesday to see if I've succeeded.

Got one new body painting set up today, the first I've done with blacklight paint. It's not perfect; I have a lot to learn yet about the fine art of blacklight painting, but it is neat. I look forwards to refining my craft in this field.

Hopefully I'll be able to find the time to get around to doing a new dream journal and putting up some new sketches in the next day or so.

Not one but two new body painting sets up today, the latter of which I'm quite pleased with, and the former of which has convinced me that I need to buy a new digital camera as soon as possible. Thus, come my payday on the friday after next, I'll be shelling out $400 on some new equipment. I look forwards to it.

In the meantime, I'll be putting up a bunch of new sketches sometime soon, as I've been a fucking machine when it comes to churning out new ideas of late. Wait 'till you see.

Got a new Body Painting section up. It's a simple design, but it has it's moments. One time, I remember, I was hanging out with it at this little milk bar down the street from here, and these two guys walk in like they own the place. They come up behind ol' Orca Morka, and the bigger of the two guys - he had this beard that came halfwayu down his chest and looked like it hadn't been trimmed since '78 - says "Hey. We don't much care for tri-color body-painting designs around here". And Orca-Morka turns around, easy as you please, and says, "With all due respect, my good sir, I'm going to have to ask you to go and soak your fat head". I tell you, I ain't never seen two guys turn and run so fast in my life. That ol' Orca-Morka, man. What a design.

On an unrelated note, it's been brought to my attention, by indirect means, that I may just be a retard. Maybe one of these days I'll learn to be less honest about what's going on in my head.

I've re-organized the various body-painting sections, to cut down on server space, but also to make them a bit easier to navigate. There's more changes in the offiing, but they're a week or so from fruition.

In the meantime, I've got several new designs up in the Sketches section, which for the most part I'm pretty happy with.

That's it for now. Behave yourselves.

Got another new Body Painting session up today. Most likely the last one for a little while, since I'm running a little low on cash to pay my models with. But we'll see. This one features a gorgeous young woman named Candace, who's earned for herself a special little place in my heart, and whom I earnestly hope will continue to be involved in my life for the forseeable future.

Also, got a newer, bettter picture of my cousin Jennifer, for the family tree. That reminds me, I should try and get in touch with my Aunt Loretta and see about getting some more pictures. Been putting that off too long.

Hrm. What else? Today marks one year since I first got the ol' New Deal page up and running. Not surprisingly, I'm fast running out of server space here at Geocities. I consider this a small point of pride; 15 megs of content, considering how few things I have which are larger than a simple JPG, is quite a bit of original material I've spewed forth. Here's to another year of pointless distractions.
