I had a dream with many parts last night.

The firstt part had the main characters of the TV shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel having some some kind of a reunion, including characters who are no longer a part of those main casts; Oz and Riley. I got the sense that they were coming together for the sake of some kind of huge conflict which they needed to pool their resourses to deal with. Perhaps not surprisingly, my dream was presented in the form of a TV show: as it began, a bus bearing the Buffy cast was driving down a road in a city which was supposed to be Los Angeles (where Angel takes place), but which looked very much live Vancouver. I seemed to have been watching the bus travel along it's route from the vantage point of a helecopter, far above, which was traveling along a parallel route to the bus. As I watched it from far above, I could hear voices of the people inside of the bus talking quite clearly, and though I can't remember the conversation per se, I do remember that the dialogue was set up in such a way that Oz and Riley's presence there was a great surprise, and that surprise was punctuated by the two of them stepping out of the bus, in this great dramatic shot, as though the camera were low to the ground and looking up at them.

The rest of the dream, thankfully, was a lot less TV-ish. The lot of them, upon getting off the bus, stepped into a house which reminds me heavily of this little house in Rockwood, Ontario, where a catholic priest named Father Zigmund (aka Ziggy) something-or-other lived. There, they were warmly greeted by the Angel crew. The two groups intermiingled and chit-chatted while Buffy, Giles, and Angel went aside to talk in the back room. Threre was a most unsettling image there of Buffy's mouth; a close-up image which showed many brroken and missing teeth. I thought to myself, as an abstract point of view, that it made sense that she would have lost a few teeth in her line of work as the Slayer. The tree of them made their way back into this stone-hewn passage in the back of the building, and I got the sense that this area was ... undomesticated. It had the air of danger, and was probably sealed away from the rest of the house most of the time. As they made their wa into this place, out of nowhere, The Master; the big, bad, nameless vampire menace which died at the end of the first season of Buffy materialized out of the ether, clothed in a heavy black robe with a red collar and shouted "I'm naked!".

The next thing I saw was a scene of a helecopter far above the house (possibly the one from which I saw the bus earlier...?) spiraling downwards in flames towards the house, it's female, dark-haired pilot screaming and clutching to her control stick. It crashed into the house, doing a surprisingly small amount of damage. The next scene was inside of the house, which was only partially collapsed and in flames. The people inside were running about, panicked, and some of them were wounded. The only two people killed in the crash were Angel's occult researcher, Winifred, and Buffy's little sister Dawn. When Bufy came rushing out, along with the others, and found out what had happened, she was - understandably - overcome with rage, and plans began in earnest to mete out vengeance.

The next part of the dream, which began kind of abruptly, had me at this research facility which seemed like something out of the 1950's or 60's... the aesthetics had that translucent-green-plastic-and-cheap-wood-grain-paneling chic that I always ascosiate with that period. The building was laid out in such a way that there was one long hallway with a room at either end of it (1 and 6 on the crudely-drawn diagram), two areas which were hermetically sealed shut and which could be viewed through two-way mirrors from the hallway (2 and 3), and two offices which were connected to the hallway by simple wooden doors (4 and 5)

I was in the hallway, observing classes of students; very young children, who were sealed inside room #2, all seated in neat rows of desks and doing somee sort of schoolwork. It was being explained to me that these kids were all genetically-engineered super-humans; brilliant, and physically perfect. The only problem is that they had spent their entire lives in this hermetically sealed environment, and there was no sense of how they would interact with an environment which was teeming with infectious microbes. Now that I think of it, this reminds me of an early episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. I have too many TV-ispired dreams.

Anyways, I strolled down the hallway to look into room #3, and saw just two kids there, sitting on the ground and playing with toys. For whatever insane reason, I announced that there was just one sure way to find out; I'd unlock the doors! The staff told me that would be impossible; their security would gun me down before I could ever get the keys and get them into the lock. I said, "That may be true for anyone else, but not for someone stronger than history it's self!" (I don't know what that means). I lunged towards room #1 at superhuman speeds, ducking and dodging lab staff and security guards, grabbed a couple of large steel keys from inside of a locker, and lunged down the hall to room #6, where I shoved the key into the lock and pushed the door open. The two kids inside were very startled by the sight of me. Suddenly, this yellow-and-green lattice appeared around them and began to spread accross the floor, the walls, and every solid surface it touched, rapidly spreading towards the door. I ran away at superhuman speeds, but the wave of ... stuff... followed close behind, encapsulating everything it touched. Finally, I saw this view of the entire planet covered in this slightly crystaline lattice, all green and yellow. Somebody was saying something about the mencace of genetic research. I don't recall it clearly. The next thing I remember clearly was my tearing my way out of this lattice, which had a sort of plastic consistency. I think that's where that dream ended.

My next dream began with me in a large house which I'm too lazy to create a crude layout of, for all that it's no less complex than the lab above. This house, I gathered, was my new home, and I had just moved my stuff in. It was beautiful. Although the house was shared with the landlord's family, like my last two homes, it was connected only by a slender, enclosed walkway which was suspended above the ground. The house was beach-front property, and had a neat little balcony-thing which faced the beach and which had a nice set of patio furniture. I don't think very much actually happened in this dream, except for my elation over my bedroom being far away enough from anyone else's that I could make all the noise I wanted at any time night or day without having to worry about waking anyone up. I also remember, vaguely, having lunch on the balcony and reflecting upon the good life.

If I dreamed anything more before waking up, I can't remember.
