I dreamed that I was in a strange city of modern design and such, but which was utterly unfamiliar to me. It was on a coastline and seemed bathed in the light of a perpetual sunset, with tall, gleaming buildings and narrow streets far below. I was fully capable of flight without any external aid, and I seemed to be unique in this sense in the context of the dream. The early pert of the dream is somewhat sparse in details. I recall landing on a large wooden deck which was connected to a buffet restaurant and simply walking inside, thereupon to take a large slab of roast beef from the buffet. This is noteworthy only in that the act of cutting it free from a larger slab of meat seemed to take forever, and the level of detail here was rather unusually high.

The next thing I recall involved me being outside a much smaller building; in it's parking lot on a hill. There was an event here which I'm not sure if I'd actually dreamed, or which I simply dreamed about remembering having experienced, in which I had just come out of the building, inside of which I had met with one of the locals. This local man was a vampire, in the same sense as vampires in the Vampire: The Masquerade game series is. This one seemed to remind me, in fact, of the man who runs the game which, in real life, I'm currently attending: Nick Daniels. I remember very little of this meeting.

The next coherent memory I have from this dream has me climbing hill from a highway deep in the wilderness, where I saw a small clustering of simple wooden houses built roughly in a circle. There was a young woman carrying some wood from one of the buildings to another, and I called her over. Somehow, I knew that she was another vampire player, and we had a brief in-character conversation, until we reached a point where we had to pause to wait for her boyfriend/ST/player of her character's lover to get home. This didn't take long, as we saw him strolling into view from between two of the buildings at the far side of the circle. We spoke briefly before getting into character.

Once we were in character, there were suddenly a large number of other people around, all of whom were also players playing the game. One of them was similar to my real-life friend, Jason Engel, who seemed to be playing a character who was sort of a generic mixture of traits of other characters of his. He laughed at the scene of ostentatiousness which was before us. The ST-player was playing a character who was quite firmly reminiscent of Armand, from Interview with the Vampire, and was seated on a throne. Jason said "No wonder you hold your games in dreams!", the clear intent being that everyone could look classier in their dreams than they probably could in real life. It could also allow more people to take part than could actually get together physically; they could simply fall asleep and meet in this shared dream-experience-world. We all laughed a bit before getting back into character. I found that for whatever reason, I was utterly incapable of remembering my character's name when it came time for me to introduce myself; I kept thinking it was Nicky Smith - a character I'd played for a very long time, ending about a year ago, but I knew that wasn't actually the case.

I dropped out of character for a moment and told them that I was having difficulty remembering my character's name, probably because I was asleep and dreaming, and that I'd like to wake up for a moment so that I could remember it, and then re-enter the dream with this knowledge. I'm not certain if I actually woke up at this point or simply dreamed that I woke up; it was too quick. Either way, I was back in the dream in a matter of moments, now remembering that my character's name was Dollar Bill Hitchcock (which is, in fact, the name of my character in real life at the moment).

We talked in-character for a while, about where my character had come from and where he had been most recently - the city where I had met with the vampire reminiscent of Nick Daniels. There was some more in-character discussion, which seemed to focus upon Dollar Bill's progeny, Dax, killing herself (another event which took place in the game which I'm playing in, in real life). After a while of this, we broke character, and I was invited into their cabin. I asked them about this shared-dreaming thing they had going on, how they were able to have multiple people having the same dream together. The boyfriend/ST/whatever-man happily explained certain aspects f it, though I now forget much of it. What I clearly remember was that it had to do with bringing players of various roleplaying game groups together in an environment well-suited to gaming.

As I entered the cabin, I saw a lot of other people milling about, talking, in various guises. There were people in black, spiky, metallic armor, and people in Star Trek uniforms. I seemed to recognize a few of them, but I don't know from where. We eventually sat down to a bizarre-looking meal which had been set for all of us, and prepared to eat. One of the men in a Star Trek uniform, who reminded me of Captain Kirk, started to freak out, demanding to know if five of the people here had been killed and chopped up, with their meat being placed in this meal. He was quietly excused, and I herd him continuing to rant out in the front yard.

Some time later, I found myself out in front of the circle of houses, where it seemed to be early morning, and I had the sense that the night had passed, and I was now on my way home. I was bid farewell by the young woman who I'd met when I first arrived there the night before, and then I left.

If I dreamed anything else before I woke up, I don't remember any of it.
