I dreamed that I liked to live dangerously.

The dream began with me standing inside of a theatre of some sort. Although I never got a look at whatever all of the seats were pointed at, it seemed to be laid out somewhat like an opera house. I hadn't come here to enjoy the show, though; I'd come to rub my presence in the face of a crime boss who'd been trying - and failing - to have me killed. It was a show of bravado; to confront him in a very public place, where he'd never dare have anything done to me for fear of witnesses, and humiliate him in front of his underlings.

As I walked out of the lobby and into the theatre proper, two thugs in business suits intercepted me, telling me I had "a lot of nerve to show [my] face [there]". I shrugged past them, grinning malevolently, knowing they wouldn't have it in them to attack me with so many witnesses around either. I strolled down the steps to where the man was sitting, and took a seat beside him, making a show of being unafraid of him.

He was outraged and furious all at once, and asked me what the fuck I was doing there. I told him I was just dropping by to say hello, see how he was doing, and all that. My flippancy displeased him, it seemed, because he furiously turned to his goons, making the old finger-accross-the-throat gesture. I laughed and bounced out of my seat and into the aisle, bounding down the steps at astonishing speeds, seeming almost to fly accross the ground before turning left into a hallway which gave way to another hallway and another and another and so on.

Before long, I found myself outside, and it was dark out. It looked a lot like the neighborhood around Main Street and 15th Avenue in Vancouver, but with a few minor differences, such as the presence of a gargantuan opera house in place of the Vancouver Little Theatre. There was a cop car parked by the side of the road, with some police inside of it, and quite a few other cars parked all around. Standing on the sidewalk was my former friend and current debtor, Jason motherfucking Engel. As always, I demanded he pay me back the money he owes me (a solid $675, in reality). He made some lame excuse, after which I was momentarily distracted by some noise behind me. When I turned back towards Jason, he was running towards a car, and making good time. I ran after him, but as I was catching up with him, the car sped away from me. I continued to chase it for a while, hoping it would have to stop at a red light so I could close the gap, but no such luck. After four blocks of pursuit, I gave up.

I headed home, frustrated, and was greeted, upon entering my living room (which was incongruously laid out like that of the flat where my friend, Paul Reeve, had lived in in Montreal when I'd gone there to visit him), by the site of my girlfriend, Moriya, sitting naked on the couch with her sister, Shary, who I've only ever seen pictures of, and who was also naked. On the far side of the room were a pair who didn't seem to actually be anyone I know in real life, but who I knew in this dream and knew to be brother and sister. They, likewise, were naked, and sitting about side by side on a couch, all sprawled out and fondling themselves. As I took a seat, wordlessly, with Moriya and her sister, I watched as the two on the far side of the room tentatively reached for one another and began stroking and groping each other. I looked at Moriya, who looked at me, and then at her sister, and then, wordlessly, kissed her on the lips. Soon, both pairs of siblings were making out in earnest, and I was taking part in a little orgy on my couch.

The next thing I knew, I was in bed, and it was the next morning. Moriya was there, and she was telling me about this "virgin lesbian" she'd met and wanted to go to bed with. I told her I'd give her my blessing if she and her sister and I could have three-ways for a few weeks. She agreed, standing up at once and saying "let's see if she's here right now". We went out into the living room, which, bizarrely, was now laid out like that of our actual living room. There was no sign of her in the appartment, disapointingly.

Then I woke up.
